Heritage wheat harvest at the Duchy Home Farm, Gloucestershire in August 2020.
Heritage grain flour is now available (not-for-profit)!
Shipton Mill, organic millers based in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, have teamed up with Heritage Harvest Ltd. to create two new lines of flour to raise funds for the Heritage Grain Trust. All of the profit from the sale of this flour will be used to support the goals of the Trust and encourage the production and use of heritage grains. For further information about how the HGT will use these funds please contact us.
This flour – roller-milled, multi-purpose white flour and a stone-ground wholemeal flour – has been milled from a locally-adapted population of heritage grain developed by John Letts, which has been grown for six seasons at the Duchy Home Farm less than 3 km from the mill.
A limited run of the 2019 harvest is now available in 1.0 kg and 16 kg bags of roller milled white flour and stoneground wholemeal flour directly from Bakery Bits.
